Admission to the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is based on a combination of high school grade-point average (unweighted 4.0 scale) and ACT or SAT scores. The following list summarizes the admission requirements.

In addition, students must have high school credits for:
Four units of English (including grammar, composition, and literature).
Three units of social studies (including U.S. history).
