Creese Receives 45-year Pin from American Foundry Society
Robert Creese, professor of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering, received his 45-year service pin from the American Foundry Society in April. At the same time, he also was made a life member of the society, which has as its mission to promote knowledge and services for the metalcasting industry.Creese is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from The Pennsylvania State University in 1963, his master’s degree in industrial engineering from The University of California at Berkeley in 1964, and his PhD in metallurgy from The Pennsylvania State University in 1972. He joined the WVU faculty in 1979.
In addition to the American Foundry Society, Creese is also a life member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and AACE, International (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering). He has been a member of ASM, International (The Materials Information Society) and the American Iron and Steel Technology Society (formerly the Iron and Steel Society of AIME) for 40 years each, a member of ASEE for 39 years and a member of AACE for 25 years.
He is also a member of the American Welding Society (27 years), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (29 years), the International Society of Parametric Analysts (15 years), and the Society for Cost Estimating and Analysis (12 years).
