MSIH Graduation Requirements

Master of Science degree students are required to take a set of core courses that will total a minimum of 36 semester hours, including credits for a thesis or a problem report. Many students take more than 36-semester hours before graduating, depending on their previous experience and background. A grade-point average of at least 3.0 is required to graduate.

The writing requirement, an integral part of the Master's degree program, can be satisfied in one of two ways:

  1. A 3-credit hour problem report based on research completed by the students.

  2. A 6-credit hour thesis.
